I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where I earned my Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in 1971. I then moved to Toronto, Ontario where I earned a Master of Arts Degree in History at York University in 1972.

After returning to Manitoba for a year to begin my legal education, I moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1974 where I earned my law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1976. I became a practicing lawyer in British Columbia in September 1977.

In the course of my practice, I have given advice on many kinds of claims including variation of wills, breach of contract and commercial disputes. I have been appointed by the court to serve as a judicial trustee in estate matters. I have also been appointed by the court to serve as the custodian of legal practices and have a wide variety of experience with custodianship issues.

Practicing from my office located in Richmond, British Columbia I can help you to apply to the court for a grant of probate of a will or the administration of an estate, as well as applications to make foreign grants of probate or administration effective in British Columbia.

I can help you with estate administration after a grant of probate or administration has been made including the preparation of executor’s accounts and the necessary documentation to effect distribution of estate assets to beneficiaries or intestate successors.

I have appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia.

A firm believer in the benefits that can come from successful mediation of disputes while recognizing that mediation might not be appropriate for every situation, I am qualified to act both as lawyer and mediator.

When not at the office I can usually be found playing with my grandchildren or practising tai chi.
